TIO Stadium in Marrara, was built in 1991, to cater for Australian Rules Football.
Due to a skill shortage in the audio visual industry in the Northern Territory, meeting the high standard of requirements from the state Government required to host AFL was tough. Marrara Stadium needed a premium audio visual service provider, prepared to travel.

Setting the Big Stage
Today, Marrara Stadium serves as a major Northern Territory stage for everything from roaring concerts to national sporting events like NAB AFL and NRL games. As the official home of the AFL NT administration team, it required a sound system that could perform flawlessly in a demanding outdoor environment. The Sound with Vision team brought its expertise to the table, meticulously estimating the cabling and infrastructure required to deliver a truly top-tier audio solution.
Every Seat, The Best Seat
To achieve perfect audio coverage, precision was paramount. Sound with Vision recognised that a one-size-fits-all approach wouldn’t work. Instead, each unique section of the grandstand was fitted with its own high-quality, custom mount with a unique specification. This tailored strategy ensured sound was directed exactly where it needed to go, dramatically enhancing the fan experience while cleverly protecting players from distracting audio spill on the field.
Going the Extra 3.5 Kilometres
Underpinning this entire audio overhaul was an impressive 3.5km of carefully planned cable infrastructure. The Sound with Vision team’s accurate estimation was crucial, allowing us to meet both the project’s budget requirements and its strict delivery timeline, laying the essential groundwork for a successful installation.
